2018 has been a year of exploration into new territories. We marched into February with a breathtaking and scenic trip to the island of Bawah.

It was out first time taking the seaplane and boy, was it an exhilarating experience! Being so close to the cockpit while travelling at low altitudes just above the sea was both intense and spectacular!

Upon arrival, we were greeted with the bluest ocean and sandiest beach we have ever seen!

Look at the photos and see for yourself!

When we climbed atop a hill to take some shots, my God every view was picturesque. These photos are unfiltered and unedited — every photo deserves to be on a postcard or wallpaper!

Bawah has some beautiful reefs and corals to explore without even going too deep. We were literally scratching the surface (pun intended) when we took these shots!

And what is a beach and nature without some wild life. Humongous komodo dragons and spiders larger than a typical coffee table were on display at nature’s finest — not for the faint-hearted to say the least!

We even found a soccer field in the open!

As night falls, the skies put together one of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen where the sun casts a strong magenta hue of light onto the waters and shore as if someone was putting on an exquisite light show!

We end off the night with a trip along the coastline and settled for a romantic dinner in one of the many huts on the island.

Overall, we were utterly pleased with how the trip unfolded, and we would highly recommend everyone a visit — especially before it gets commercialized like other major islands in Asia!

Onto our next adventure!
